It’s that age-old question… should I sully the beautiful lines of my new Bianchi with a frame-mount pump… simple answer is No!!
So the next question was, could you really stow a pump in a jersey pocket without losing it mid-ride, only to realise when you’re standing at the side of the road with a flat tyre… answer, Yes!!
The Lezyne Pressure Drive is a well-designed, so ticks the aesthetic boxes, mini-pump that’s ideally sorted for stuffing into a road jersey… several rides in and I’ve still got it, so it clearly isn’t going to get lost in a hurry. I’ve yet to use it in anger, but first impressions are that it’ll get the air back into a flat tyre… though it’s definitely going to take a few minutes of pumping.
Note that this is the ‘small’ version of the Lezyne Pressure Drive – which is 90g, as opposed to 103g for the slightly longer version- I went for the compact version to ensure that it sat tidily in a rear pocket.
