Food Tip 1 – My Fitness Pal

Tip 1 – The first thing I did last year was to use the “My Fitness Pal” smartphone app to help me track exactly what I was consuming… it was so easy to imagine that a Twix here and there is a low-calorie pick-me-up, or that a latte is the same as a black Americano.

It’s all obvious stuff, by My Fitness Pal really showed the big ticket items in the food list. What I found more useful with this app was that it also tracked your exercise, so you could see the impact of a run or cycle in terms of burning off that food – and after a while it became easy to eat slightly less, get some exercise, and see that at the end of the day I had probably lost a tiny bit of weight… and it was good to know that all of those tiny weight losses would add up to a bigger one!!
